Welcome to swim 1 and 2. This is a double swim with an unbelievable amount of water and features to fish too. To the left hand side, you have the original island which has always produced great results by casting to the right hand corner in water depths of around 5ft. There is a new channel now running behind the island encouraging the fish to pass through into your adjacent water. Casting out to open water you will find depths between 5ft and 8ft. Fishing to the right, you have the luxery of the bay which is fed with fresh running water from the stock lake, this bay is a real carp heaven with some deep holes to be found and water depths ranging from 3ft to 6ft. If you are a sun lover swims 1 and 2 are deffinatly for you, it was once known as the Holiday Swim in the past due to the all day sun which shines down from dusk till dawn. Dont worry if you need some shade though as you are surrounded by overlooking woodlands which offers plenty of cover if you require.
Swim 3 offers the deepest water the lake can provide with depths ranging from 4ft through to 15ft. This swim is situated facing the dam wall and the fish love to get in this deep water. Slightly shallower water along the far margin towards the island offers some great results as the fish will be swimming around the island and following the tree lines along the dam wall.
With some skillful markering, you will find some small shelves and channels which will produce great results if fished correctly. This swim is situated closest to the car park should you need anything from your motor.
Welcome to swim 4 and 5 the second great ‘double swin’ with fantistic views out onto the main body of the lake. With this swim being an open water swim you reallly need to get your markers out and spend some time finding those underwater features.
You will be fishing in water depths between 4ft to 9ft with a fairly evenly surfaced bottom. Many people have had great results from this swim by finding your spots, heavily baiting and sticking to it all week but thats just one method of course. Take your time to learn your lake bed in this swim and you will have great results.
Swim 6 is brand new to Etang negreloube, this second bay of the lake has never been fished before so we are expecting an exciting year to find out what this swim can do. You have a new island situated in front of the swim with water depths of 7ft surrounded it.
A new channel has been formed around the island leading down from the top end of the lake and follows through to the point of the bay. To your left fishing within the bay itself, you will find shallower waters with depths ranging from 2ft to 5ft. We know the fish love to get in here on sunny days so the shallow waters are not to be forgotton about.
Swim 7 is another brand new swim at Etang negreloube. Swim 8 used to be a double but we introduced swim 7 so that swim 8 is now a single with this swim along the same bank giving each angler maximum amounts of water and space to fish. Features from this new swim are incredible with a long range island directly in front of you surrounded by water depths of 6ft. Between swim 7 and the island you have a range of deoths between 4ft and 8ft. Another swim with a large deep hole to find, use your markers carfully and find the features!
Welcome to swim 8. Here you will find a brand new island directly in front of the swim, water depths around it are 4ft which lead onto a channel running through the front face along to the next island and from the water inlet side.
You have great short distance margins with depths of 3ft which the carp love to follow in in sunny weather. Half way out in front of you are 2 garvel patches which are a key feature to find but make sure your baits and rigs are presently correctly to find the best results. Overal depths are 2ft to 5ft, with this being the shallowest end of the lake be sure to see lots of the resident carp during the summer months.
